Hi, I’m Sam Dykstra
Born and raised in Massachusetts, I now calling Newport, Rhode Island, home. I’m 24 years old, and I’m completely in love with this life, this work, and the stories I get to tell through photography.
I picked up a camera in 2016—but honestly, I’ve loved capturing moments for as long as I can remember (even when it was just with an iPod Touch!). Photography is where I feel most creative and most alive. I believe comparison kills creativity, so I focus on staying true to my own voice—and creating the best, most honest work I can.

Some things about me :)
I LOVE to travel - I spent 4 months in Europe studying abroad where I had the privilege of exploring the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, France, Denmark, Portugal, Austria, Czech Republic and my fave Portugal.
If I am not shooting, I am probably hiking, working out, drinking coffee.
I love hanging out with my family and playing cards with them.
I grew up showing cattle and spent all my time raising animals on my little farm in Massachusetts.
